Based on the concept of sustainable management, EPi pays attention to global climate change, and is committed to protecting the earth and environment, advocating green production, energy conservation and carbon reduction, promoting safety and health, preventing occupational injuries and ill health.
So as to minimize the environmental impact of our products and activities, and provide a safe, healthy and comfortable workplace.
EPi has obtained ISO 14001:2015 system certification and ISO 14064 greenhouse gas emission verification.

- Pay attention to environment and OH&S issues, evaluate their risks and opportunities, and take effective preventive and protective measures.
- Establish a process for setting and reviewing environmental, OH&S objectives to enhance the environmental, OH&S performance.
- Establish a process for communication, the policy shall be available as documented information, and be implemented, maintained communicated within the organization and all worker under the control of EPi, and be available to interested parties, as appropriate.

Environmental Management
EPi obtained ISO 14001 environmental management system certification in 2001. Comply with environmental safety and health policy, we pursue environmental sustainability. In 2019, we obtained LRQA external verification for ISO 14001:2015 transition. The latest certificate is valid from November 25, 2022 to November 24, 2025.
EPi follows environmental regulations set by the Ministry of Environment to develop an environmental safety and health management manual and management system. We also promote the introduction of ISO 14001 activities, conducts an internal audits of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management system every six months, and entrusts a third-party agency to certify it every year.

- In 2024, Epi completed seven environmental planning actions to improve energy conservation, waste reduction, and optimizing the operational efficiency of pollution control equipment.
- Regarding energy-saving action, EPi have implemented four types of measures: Replacement of low-efficiency old units, upgrading equipment components, adjustment of existing energy-saving measures and switching to more efficient lighting。
- In 2024, EPi successfully implemented 17 energy-saving initiatives, achieving an annual energy-saving rate of 2.0%, equivalent to 1.857 million KW-hr, meeting our annual target and marking a 0.1% improvement from 2023.
- For waste management, EPi have actively pursued waste reduction initiatives. Waste recycling and reusing rate was 54.6 in 2024, increase 4.2% YOY, successfully met our 2023-2024 target (≧50%).
- Actual test results of air pollutants over the years ,air pollutant emissions are lower than the standards of the related regulations.
- EPi conduct air pollution control emergency response drills every, with a total of five drills in 2024
Management of Greenhouse Gas Emission
EPi promises to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 in response to the Taiwan′s greenhouse gas emission reduction strategy. EPi is committed to developing and producing low-energy-consuming products, so as to provide energy-saving products and contributing to carbon reduction in the world. Since electricity use is the major source of EPi′s greenhouse gases emission, carbon reduction target is equivalent to our energy saving target.
The annual report of greenhouse gas emission inventory has been third-party verified to ensure data credibility and public disclosure. The inventory verification of greenhouse gas emission in 2024 is performed by the LRQA Group Limited Taiwan Branch, in accordance with the ISAE3410/ISO 14064-3 criteria, the assurance was conducted at a reasonable level of assurance for Scope1 and Scope 2, and at a limited level of assurance for Scope 3.
The total greenhouse gas emissions in 2024 were 52,073.2 ton CO2e, in which the major emission source is indirect GHG emissions in Scope 2 for electricity usage, accounted for 81%. Subsidiary (Precision Silicon Japan) is the business office and has been conducting greenhouse gas verification since 2024, with a total emission of 4.4 tons CO2e.

Occupational Safety and Health Management
EPi obtained OHSAS 18001 certification in 2010. When the International Organization for standardization (ISO) published the new ISO 45001:2018 standard in 2018 to supersede OHSAS 18001, EPi promptly secured its ISO 45001:2018 certification and verify by third-party agency (LRQA) in 2019. The latest certificate is valid from November 25, 2022 to November 25, 2025.

- We completed 5 occupational safety and health projects in 2024, all focused on reducing operational risks.
- An annual emergency response drill is conducted at our facilities. In 2024, a total of four drills were held.
- EPi provides employees who have been employed for one year to participate in annual health examination. For 2024, the health examination results for workers in special operation health check showed no work-related health issues.
- Since 2021, we have aimed to train 70% of total workforce in CPR+AED skills every five years. In 2024 the fourth year of this initiative, the training completion rate reached 76.32%.
Protection measures for employee personal safety and working environment
- EPi has established an Industrial Safety Division to be responsible for the planning, execution, and auditing of all on-site safety and health management initiatives. Committing to the continuous improvement of safety and health measures to create a safe and healthy work environment.
- To ensure all employees correctly identify potential hazards and prevention methods, we conduct regular safety and health training sessions, awareness campaigns, and drills throughout the year. This approach helps to enhance employee safety awareness and emergency response skill.
- EPi also provide annual employee physical examination and organize various health promotion activities (such as weight management programs and health seminars). This effort are aimed at offering the latest health information and caring for our employee’s physical and mental health.
- EPi commission professional agency to perform workplace monitoring every six months, classify similar exposure groups and establish their exposure profiles. Based on the exposure assessment results, chemical control banding(CCB) is performed , and relevant protective measures and operational controls are implemented to provide employees with a safe and comfortable working environment and safeguards their physical and mental health.
- Establish an annual self-inspection plan covering inspection items for various machinery and equipment hazard prevention, and implement a supervisory and auditing mechanism to prevent accidents and comply with regulatory requirements.
